How to Burn Scented Candles properly
Before lighting a candle, trim the wick to within 1/4 inch of the was surface. This cuts down on the excess carbon that builds up on the wick and prevents the candle’s flame from becoming too big. When burning larger scented candles, those 3 inches or more in diameter, allow the wax to melt close to the outer edge of the scented candle before you extinguish it. This will take approximately 2 hours or more, but this melting lets the candle use up the liquid wax, or fuel, evenly and extends the life of the scented candle.
